What is Depression?

 

Depression can be described as feeling discouraged sad hopeless unmotivated or disinterested in life in general for a period of time (usually longer than 2 weeks). Depression can interfere with your daily activities making the simplest tasks feel daunting and leave you feeling listless in times that you should be feeling energized.

Creating art with an Art Therapist can be used both as a coping skill to give you an outlet for those emotions as well as a way into your inner state to help you to explore the underlying feelings and cause of your pain.
