What is Anxiety?


Anxiety can be defined as a combination of a number of feelings such as nervousness, discomfort, feelings of dread. It could be a feeling of worry, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome. Although anxiety is your bodies normal reaction to stress and everyone experiences it to some degree; severe anxiety or recurring anxiety can be debilitating.


Anxiety is the most common mental illness that affects people of all ages. It’s estimated that over 40 million people suffer from anxiety. Everyone experiences anxiety at times but if it becomes chronic and affects your daily life you may want to seek treatment.
